DJ Rockid has been a Turntablist extraordinaire and Clubkiller since 1996. This turntable virtuoso started dj’ing at the age of 16 and now eleven years running, is making his mark in both the club and turntablism scene, and nowhere near stopping.

Born in South-Korea and later moved to Holland, Rockid learned to love music from an early age. In 1996 he knew that turntables would be his instruments with which he could express his love of music with. To further develop his skills he entered the DMC DJ Championships in 1998. You could easily say that he got this down and he went on to being the Dutch DMC champ for five years in a row , representing Holland and making it all the way to the finals in New York, London & Paris.

Holding an extensive list of titles to his name, Rockid brought it all back the clubs to rock the dance floors. Having deep roots in Hip Hop, Rockid has his own style, vision, taste and way of mixing dance music. His musical journey brought him to play practically every club in Holland, popular national festivals like Mysteryland, FFWD dance parade, ADE and Dancevalley, and international festivals like Glastonbury and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. With the undeniable raw street feel he brings to electronic dance music blending Electro, Baltimore breaks, Favela funk, Hiphop Bootytech, Jackin & Ghetto House he is well on his way to also make his mark in the dance scene.

As we are heading towards the end of 2008, after numerous mix tapes, Rockid is on the verge of releasing his first official singles. As Rockid is excited to focus more on the production side of this game and share it with the rest of the world, we can only expect from him.......well the unexpected!
