Presetone
Using Preset One is usually not done... but in this case you have to think twice. This collaboration between two people will become the joined force of something not to miss. Victor Coral and ONNO who have known each other for years, decided to get together in the studio and the results in this premature stage already makes you want to call your mom about it.
Victor Coral as one of Hollands chiefs at the decks, recruited his fame from his Chemistry background. In 2000 he became the face of RUSH, he had a smashing time working his way into the best clubs & festivals, and made his name into one that people won’t forget. The combination of his colourful persona and slamming dj-sets made him one of the most in demand dj’s in the Dutch dance scene and brought him many international gigs as well. In 2006 Victor decided to build a studio in his living room and he taught himself to control the buttons. He is collaborating with Amsterdam based label 90Watts Records.
In the meantime ONNO also made his mark on the Dutch dance scene by becoming the youngest ever resident of Chemistry in 2001. A few years later he started his productions career in collaboration with Rocco Mundo. Their initial material prompted Sander Kleinenberg to personally call and comment on the quality and freshness of the productions, and tracks were picked up by labels like Little Mountain, Renaissance and Stealth Records. Gigs from all over the world, from Paris to Miami, soon followed. As a resident dj of the Earth Parties and selecting his gigs to the finest, he concurred his well respected place in the dance scene.
At Queens day 2008 the two played a spontaneous back 2 back set which turned out to be a great success. From then on things moved quickly forward. They decided to hook up in the studio and PRESETONE was born. Obviously they had a chemistry together behind the decks, but after a couple of months of knob twiddling in the studio their collaboration turned out to be even more successful.
The first PRESETONE track “Gummi Tape, was immediately picked up by the German quality label Circle Music. In September 2008 Gummi Tape will be released on the 2nd Circle compilation (digital, cd & vinyl). Circle earlier released work of Dubfire, Gregor Tresher, Gui Boratto, Martin Eyerer, Audiofly X and 2000 And One. New and fresh PRESETONE tracks are now ready for take off.
Besides releasing their tracks and their dj work the two are already preparing a live set. Look out for this one at the beginning of 2009.
PRESETONE is resident of Babylon @ Studio 80, a new underground club concept Victor Coral brought to life. Besides bringing their trade mark sound PRESETONE will also invite national and international dj/producer friends they esteem highly to Amsterdams finest underground club.
The sound of PRESETONE can be best described as a sleazy and pumpin mix of Tech House & modern day Techno.
